Information and Application to volunteer for B.A.S.E. Camp...

• First, you need to attend a VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION which we hold every 2nd Satruday and 4th Wednesday each month at the B.A.S.E. Camp office ---directions and parking info is availible on our AGENDA. R.S.V.P. via email, and join us when you can. We can then move forward with specific volunteer placement.

• We need volunteers to be a chaperone at our monthly overnight camps one weekend each month - 24 hours.
  
• We need 1 volunteer every day of the week at each of the 3 clinics to host a CRAFT making activity and refreshments.
  
• We need 2 Volunteers to coordinate DINNER AND A MOVIE once a month for in-patient children at Arnold Palmer Hospital, and Florida Hospital
  
• We need 2 Volunteers to provide PARENT SUPPORT GROUP refreshments once each month at Arnold Palmer Hospital, and once each month at Fl Hosp..
  
• We need volunteers who can visit children in hospital on a weekly basis 3-4 hours per week. (These volunteers need to go through a Volunteer Training at either Arnold Palmer and/or Florida Hospital)

BASE Camp Childhood Cancer Foundation has three monthly camps for children 1-19 years of age. We need chaperones for each camp, each month.  A chaperone volunteer donates themselves to B.A.S.E. Camp for the time period of the entire outing.  Chaperones must be 20 years of age, have a reliable vehicle, good driving record, work well with children, and have the willingness to have fun!

It is the chaperones' responsibility to call B.A.S.E. Camp the week of the outing and confirm that they can indeed chaperone for the outing.  We do look forward to working with you and hope that you will decide to become a monthly chaperone.   Please let us know if you need additional information, or call us if you have any questions - B.A.S.E.
